Getting the Word Out!

Ok. You've created your own product that has been proven
to have great demand and you have a great salesletter that
has a sky-high conversion rate. But all this is futile if
you don't have a single soul passing by your website since
you will have no one to sell to!

You might be a total beginner and therefore do not have a
massive mailing list to sell to, and your website is on the
103th page of search engine results pages. The good news is
that you can change all that with a few tried-and-tested
traffic generation techniques.

First and foremost, let me make it clear to you that
search engine optimization is not the only way to gain
massive amounts of traffic.

However it can be very lucrative to have your website
listed on the top of search engine results because many
people use the search engine to search for information and
arrive on the search engine results page. Hence, heaps of
people see your site's link and you attract loads of
traffic.

The effect would have been exactly the same if your site
is mentioned in a website with very high traffic. For
example, imagine what would happen if your website was
mentioned on the front page of Yahoo's website. Your
website will receive so much visitors your bandwidth might
go over the limit.

So, the trick is to get other high-traffic websites in
your niche to link to your site. To do this, you must give
them very strong reasons to link to you - maybe you could
use the thought-provoking article you've posted on your
site or maybe it's the ingenious solution to this lifelong
problem everyone has had for all their lives.

In short, give people amazing reasons or value to earn a
link from them.

Alternatively, you may link to a certain high-traffic
website that's related to yours and ask for a link back.
This technique is called reciprocal linking and is a very
common technique for gaining links.

However, before you even ask for the link check your own
website and ask yourself if you would be proud to recommend
such a site to your readers, and whether it will provide
useful information to your readers.

In other words, make sure your website has its own value
and not just an empty shell devised to attract traffic!

Set Goals to Give Direction to Your Life!

Goal setting is a technique that can be very powerful and
can result in some great returns in all areas of your
personal and professional life. At a very simple level,
goal setting lets you determine where it is that you want
to go in life.

When you know what it is that you want to achieve you can
set goals and focus on taking the steps to make them a
reality.  On a more complex level, goal setting can be a
vision that is long term and comes with the motivation to
change your entire life.

When you set goals that are clearly defined you'll be able
to measure them and feel proud as you achieve each one.
Forward progress for small goals is crucial so that you can
find motivation for your bigger goals.

Some of the things that you accomplish when you set goals
include:

• An increase in your improvement level.
• An increase in satisfaction for what you accomplish.
• A feeling of pride for achieving personal and
  professional goals.
• An improvement in your self-confidence.
• Fewer attitudes that are holding you back from being
  happy.

Studies show that when people effectively set goals they
suffer less from anxiety and stress. An increase in self-
confidence helps them to concentrate more fully on their
personal and professional lives.

Before you can set any goals for yourself you need to have
a base of core beliefs that you live by. And your core
beliefs are based on the cause and effect of the things
that happen to you in your life.

The way you feel will always be determined by an action
that created the feeling. When it comes to goal setting you
need to have a positive outlook on what is happening around
you so that you can make good decisions for yourself.

The basic underlying concept of core beliefs and goals is
that if you're not feeling and seeing the effects that you
want to see you need to take a look at the reasons why.

Once you make changes to the conditions that are causing
you to fail to reach your goals you'll start to see the
results that you want to see. This means making changes to
the conditions within yourself, and within your life, which
are keeping you from moving forward.

You, as an individual, need to take responsibility for
when you feel uninspired and negative. This also means that
you have the power to change these conditions of cause and
effect. You need to feel that you CAN reach your personal
and professional goals.

But what does the cause and effect of what happens in your
life have to do with being successful and reaching your
goals?

The answer is simple:

When you are aware of the cause and effect of your own
personal beliefs and goals you are better able to manage
how you lead your life. Understanding and believing that
you can be successful on a personal level leads to the
belief that you can reach all of the goals that you set for
yourself.

One of the most important things that you can do to reach
your personal and professional goals is to cultivate and
nurture your own personal power. Personal power is one of
the most incredible allies that you can have when it comes
to achieving success.

Personal power is all about believing in yourself, your
accomplishments, and your ability to reach your goals. When
people have this personal power they become confident and
motivated to go after the things they want in life.

Just think of the rewards that you will receive when you
have a great sense of personal power: there are no limits
when it comes to the goals that you can reach.

One of the key aspects of personal power is the inner
confidence to know that you can do anything you want to do.
You can achieve the goals that you deserve because you have
all the skills and techniques that you need to be
successful. When you have personal power you have the
assertiveness to do what's best for you and your
professional career.

It's this combination of confidence and assertiveness that
is going to push you towards your goals and a help you
achieve these goals!

The 3 Easiest Ways to Start in Affiliate Marketing!

Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing between a
merchant and an affiliate who gets paid for referring or
promoting the merchants' products and services. It is one
of the burgeoning industries nowadays because it is proven
to be cost-efficient and quantifiable means of attaining
great profit both for the merchant and the affiliate and
other players in the affiliate program, such as the
affiliate network or affiliate solution provider.

Affiliate marketing works effectively for the merchant and
the affiliate. The merchant gains opportunities to
advertise his products to a larger market, which increases
his chances to earn. The more affiliate websites or hard-
working affiliates he gets, the more sales he can expect.

By getting affiliates to market his products and services,
he is saving himself time, effort and money in looking for
possible markets and customers. When a potential customer
clicks on the link in the affiliate website, purchases the
product, recommends it to others who look for the same item
or buys it again, the merchant multiplies his chances of
earning.

The affiliate marketer also benefits from each customer
who clicks on the link and purchases the product or service
provided by the merchant. In most cases the affiliate gets
a commision per sale, which can be fixed percentage or
fixed amount.

If you want to be an affiliate marketer and earn an online
income, here are three most basic and easiest ways to start
an effective affiliate marketing program.

First is to identify a particular topic you are interested
in or passionate about. By focusing on a specific area you
know very well will help you bring out your best without
much risks and effort. You can also add a personal touch to
your site and give your visitors an impression that you are
an expert in your field.

In this way, you gain their trust and eventually encourage
them to buy the products you endorse.

Next is to look for good paying merchants and products or
services related to your interest. In choosing the product
you must also consider the conversion rate, which is the
number of customers who actually went on to purchase the
product divided by the total number of visitors.

There are various affiliate network sites that can give
you info on the most profitable products and best paying
merchants. The key here is to be wise enough to choose the
right one that has a good coversion and offers a reasonable
commission to make it worth your efforts.

An acceptable conversion rate is around 2%, however the
viability of promoting any product will be determined by
the commission you get from each sale so you need to do
your sums when determining whether or not to choose a
particular product or merchant.

When you have decided on your topic and have chosen the
products to endorse, you're next step is to begin promoting
your affiliate products. You can do this either by creating
your own website or by directing sending visitors to your
merchants website.

This is a crucial task, since it is through this that you
would be able to increase traffic, sales and of course,
your profits. It is recommended you create your own site
and then drive targeted traffic to this site so that you
can capture your visitors contact details before sending
them to the merchant site via affiliate links on your site.

This way, if they don't end up making a purchase you can
contact them at a later stage to sell them additional back-
end offers.

In affiliate marketing it is possible to earn large sums
of money in a short span of time, especially when you're
endorsing high-priced items. Just be aware that expensive
products may be harder to sell, however with the right
marketing strategies and sales techniques you can draw
visitors to the merchant's site and entice them buy the
products.

Keep in mind, there is no quick path to success. Affiliate
marketing may seem very tempting due to numerous
encouraging testimonies of successful affiliate marketers,
but it entails great deal of hard work and persistence.

Likewise, you need to be creative, flexible and willing to
embrace new ideas to market your partners' products until
you find the perfect strategy that works for a specific
market that you are targeting.

Signing up for an affiliate program nor copying ads and
leading others towards the merchants' site doesn't
guarantee success. Many affiliate marketers fail to
understand this, so when they don't make sales, they quit,
look for other programs and repeat the same mistake.

In the end only a few succeed, but often the rewards are
well worth the effort. Even as you sleep, you can work your
way to great financial success if you employ the right
strategies in affiliate marketing.

Be creative, be smart, and be persistant and you will have
a much higher chance of achieving your goals!

Creating Blog Content That Sells!

Today, we’re going to discuss the type of content that is suitable for your blog in order to make it profitable.

First off, I want you to understand that there is no fixed scope that your blog should have, which means you can write about whatever you’re interested in.

However, the difference between a profitable blog and a non-profitable blog is the way the blog is written. Just imagine, would you prefer to read your university professor’s lecture notes or the latest novel by your favourite author?

You may prefer to read the novel because it appeals more to your interest, or because it is not as mind-numbing as the lecture notes by your professor.

However, the most important point is people like to read “light” stuff most of the time. You see, when people log on to your blog, they are not only looking for information - they are also looking for information they can obtain easily, and better still in a relaxed manner.

So, to attract more visitors as well as to keep your current visitors coming back for more, it is very important to add a human touch to your blog posts.

This can be done by simply imagining you’re talking about a certain topic with your personal friend. An extra bonus for your readers would be a great sense of humour, so try to add funny comments in your articles where they are suitable.

Another important key point is to avoid addressing your reader as a plural unit. What I really mean is you should not write as if you’re preparing a speech. Instead, you should write as if you’re having a conversation to a single person because this will make your visitor think of you more as a personal friend rather than a person of higher authority.

Besides that, it is also very useful to establish your own personality through your words. Human beings are very curious creatures, so naturally your visitors would want to know as much about you as the information you’re offering them.

Having a distinctive personality in your blog would make a world’s difference between your blog about gadgets and all the other blogs about gadgets out there. This is a lot like creating your own brand name, where people immediately remember your blog’s name when they need to find out information about gadgets, just like how people immediately think of McDonald’s for fastfood or Nike for sportswear.

So, the lesson for today is to simply write as an equal friend to your visitors. Write to them as if you’re talking to a single person and establish your own personality on your blog.

How to Find Out if You Have a Killer Product Idea!

Many marketers have created or acquired products that they thought would sell well and, in their enthusiasm, set up everything from sales letters to websites to getting traffic.

However, a lot of these marketers have forgotten the single most important factor that will affect their product sales…

…the “sellability” of the product!

When you begin creating products or buying rights to a certain product, the most important factor you must take into account is the demand. In other words… Do people want your product?

It is simply senseless to waste a month’s time preparing a product, setting up the website and a salesleter only to find that people aren’t even interested in what you are offering and do not even raise an eyebrow at it!

Think about it. Your goal is earn an income by delivering a product to your customers. In order to do this, you must make sure your customer wants to buy your product in the first place.

How do you find out if they want your product? Simple.

Just ask!

Ask in forums related to your niche. Hold a survey or public poll. The Internet is a flat playing field, and you have the power to reach just about anyone in the world who has an internet connection.

Let’s say you have this brilliant idea on creating a step- by-step instruction on how to cook Malaysian food. First, you must find out if anyone is interested (or even heard

of) Malaysian food.

To do this, go to a food-related forum and ask tactfully if anyone would be interested in learning Malaysian cuisine. Do not ask blatantly whether anyone would like to buy an ebook with instructions on how to cook Malaysian food, or you might be in danger of being accused of spamming.

Another technique is to giveaway a few samples of your Malaysian recipes to test the waters - to see how the forum members react to them.

If they show enthusiasm for learning more, then you definitely have a market in this. If they show no interest, then maybe it is time to look for a new idea to market. You save time in the long run because you don’t have to find out the low demand for your product the hard way.

If your idea is welcomed by the forum members you surveyed, you can go ahead and compile your extensive ebook on cooking Malaysian food because there is interest in the information you possess.

You will quickly learn that where there is interest, you can easily build up desire for your product, and with desire (plus good marketing), your purchases will arrive naturally!

Building Anticipation With Preselling!

Preselling is the work you must start doing before you release and sell your product; that’s why it’s called pre- selling. It’s the work you do to convince your potential customers that your product has great benefits and only a fool will pass your offer without purchasing…

…all this without actually “selling” the mentioned product.

Preselling can be seen as selling yourself to the customer before you sell your product. When you sell yourself to the customer, you are making your customers think - “okay, this guy is not one of those greedy marketers. He’s actually here to help me out.” so that they will let their guard down and listen to your sales pitch.

Preselling is also the art of building up anticipation.

If a friend told you his chronic headache has been solved overnight by “some new medicine”, but did not mention what it really was, would that leave you wondering what the medicine really is?

More so if you’re having a chronic headache yourself!

That’s why by mentioning a benefit which would get your prospects’ ears perked up again and again but not really revealing what the solution is, you will get your prospects dying to hear what you have to say next as you reveal slightly more about the solution each time.

When you finally uncover the whole thing, your prospects will be crawling all over your website looking for the buy button!

However, preselling is not just about unveiling your product bit by bit. This is only one of the various ways one can presell. For example…

You might run a weekly newsletter on acne problems and coincidentally you have just written this great ebook called “10 Ways to Solve Acne Woes Once and For All”. In your newsletter, you can presell by including a snippet or two from your ebook and mentioning it as a viable solution to acne problems.

If people get good advice from your newsletter, they will perceive you as an expert on acne problems and naturally will be curious to find out the ways you can teach them to solve their problems.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to giving value to people before you ask people to fork out their cash to buy something from you. If you can help people to solve their problems, they will, more often than not, be very willing to buy products from you.
